A distilled, sculptural, highly-imagistic, solo Butoh dance piece converses with a series of photographs that trace the trajectory of a long-durational, site-specific Butoh performance, which took place in the urban environment of Athens over a course of 22 days. The Butoh body, through the use of energised stillness, statuesque forms, and rich, poetic imagery, creates a new topos, which connects the past and the present, the live performance and the mediated experience, the inside and the outside, the private and the public, and invites us to see again, not only our city, but also ourselves.

Μια solo butoh performance συνδιαλέγεται με μια σειρά φωτογραφιών.

Οι φωτογραφίες αποτυπώνουν το ταξίδι μιας performance, με τίτλο “22 stops”, στο αστικό τοπίο κατά τη διάρκεια 22 ημερών. Tο butoh σώμα, μέσω της ενεργητικής σωματικής παύσης, της γλυπτικής φόρμας και των ποιητικών εικόνων, δημιουργεί έναν ενδιαμέσο τόπο, συνδέοντας το παρελθόν και το παρόν, το ζωντανό και το διαμεσολαβημένο, το μέσα και το έξω,  το ιδιωτικό και το δημόσιο, και μας καλεί να ξαναδούμε με καινούρια μάτια την πόλη μας, και ίσως και τους εαυτούς μας.
