“22 stops” is a Butoh, interdisciplinary, long-durational performance that explores the boundaries of the body and the art work. Inspired by 22 improvisational Butoh dances that were created near 22 metro stations and were documented via photography by Ioulia Ladogianni, the body will remember, will reconnect, and will create 22 Butoh dance compositions in 6 hours. The work was presented at the Benaki Museum in the context of [Mis/Dis] Placed: Performances at Athens Photo Festival 2016. The mis/dis – placement of the urban environment and the body in space and time will culminate in a new place of encounter between past and present, ephemeral and eternal, remembrance and the surprise of the unexpected.

Το έργο “22 stops” είναι μια Butoh interdisciplinary performance μακράς διάρκειας που διερευνά τα όρια της υλικότητας του σώματος και του έργου (τέχνης). Με έναυσμα 22 αυτοσχεδιαστικούς χορούς Butoh που δημιουργηθήκαν κοντά σε 22 σταθμούς του μετρό και αποτυπώθηκαν σε φωτογραφίες της Ιουλίας Λαδογιάννη, το σώμα θα θυμηθεί, θα επανασυνδεθεί και θα δημιουργήσει 22 χορευτικές συνθέσεις Butoh σε 6 ώρες στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη στο πλαίσιο του [Mis/Dis] Placed: Performances στο Athens Photo Festival 2016. Η μετα/δυσ-τόπιση του αστικού τοπίου και του σώματος στο χώρο και στο χρόνο και η συσχέτιση του Butoh body με την φωτογραφική εικόνα θα χαρτογραφήσει και θα δημιουργήσει έναν καινούριο τόπο συνεύρεσης μεταξύ του παρελθόντος και του παρόντος, του εφήμερου και του αιώνιου, της μνήμης και της έκπληξης του αναπάντεχου.
